Treating Depression with Self-Compassion using Virtual Reality: Feasibility and Acceptability Study
A feasibility trial is like a practice run. People who take part in research in this way play an important role in making better mental health support available to others as well as trying something new for themselves.

We have just completed the VRCom-F feasibility trial, in which people tried out our virtual reality intervention and let us know if they found it helpful and how we could improve it. We invited people who were on the waiting list with Camden and Islington Psychological Therapies Services (iCope) for therapy for depression and aged 18 years or older to take part, and we're very thankful to all our participants for their contribution.
The study was registered with the ISRCTN clinical trial registry who help to make sure that research is done fairly and that we describe the results accurately. The registration number is: ISRCTN57462718.
We will be analysing the findings of the study in the near future and will update this page with what we've learned as soon as we are able to.
